Join us for an exclusive Question & Answer session with Dr. Jill Rathus & Dr. Alec Miller as they answer your questions regarding any and all aspects of DBT-A.  You can join us Online or In-Person for this afternoon event chaired by Prof. Michaela Swales, Director of the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme and Director of Training at British Isles DBT Training.  You will get the chance to submit your questions prior to the event and then you can experience this one-of-a-kind conversation between these DBT pioneers, either with us in person, from the office or even from the comfort of your own home.

Dr. Jill Rathus, PhD, co-developer of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with adolescents and families. She is Co-Founder and Co-Director of Cognitive Behavioral Associates, a clinical and training center based in Great Neck, New York. She is also Professor of Psychology at Long Island University/CW Post Campus in Brookville, New York, and Visiting Professor at Shanghai Mental Health Center, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine in Shanghai, China. Dr. Rathus is the co-author of the three texts on DBT with adolescents, including DBT Skills Manual for Adolescents, DBT with Suicidal Adolescents, and DBT in Schools (STEPS-A) (Guilford Press). She is also an author on three additional books on couple and family distress. She consults internationally, has trained thousands of mental health professionals in the United States and worldwide, and is widely published in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Rathus is a Certified Individual DBT therapist, serves as a trainer for Behavioral Tech, and received the Cindy Sanderson Outstanding Educator Award from the International Society of the Improvement and Training of DBT (ISITDBT). Most recently, Dr. Rathus released her co-developed On-Line Training course with Psychwire, titled DBT Skills with Adolescents and Caregivers.

Dr. Alec Miller is a clinical psychologist, teacher, researcher, author, treatment developer and disseminator of evidence-based interventions to clinical settings, schools and organizations worldwide. He is Co-Founder and Co-Director of Cognitive and Behavioral Consultants (CBC) , a clinical, training, and research centre based in White Plains and Manhattan, NY. He is a Certified Individual DBT Clinician and his DBT Programs at CBC are the first Certified DBT Programs in NY State as deemed by the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification. He is also a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY. Presently, Dr Miller also serves as the President of the Access Psychology Foundation (APF), a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to overcome mental health disparities among historically under-represented populations by increasing access to evidence-based prevention, treatment, training and education. Dr. Miller is co-author of the three leading texts on DBT with adolescents, including DBT Skills Manual for Adolescents, DBT with Suicidal Adolescents, and DBT in Schools (STEPS-A) (Guilford Press).
