Advanced Clinical Skills in DBT: Skills for DBT Team Leaders to Promote Team Adherence

About the Course

A DBT Team Leader is a crucial element towards the success of any programme. Team Leaders must combine skills in leadership, organisational negotiation and enhanced clinical acumen to effectively lead their team. The Skills for DBT Team Leaders to Promote Team Adherence training course is a post-Intensive-workshop, which is the only training specifically designed for DBT Team leaders. This is also suitable for those aspiring to develop the skills to take on the role.

The two-day training course will be led by Professor Swales and Dr Dunkley, who have led DBT teams for a combined total of 30 years. They look forward to working with delegates to pass on the skills that they have learnt in how to lead an effective DBT team. All participants will be invited to submit problems for consultation ahead of the workshop.

Prerequisites

• Member of a DBT Team applying comprehensive DBT*.
• Completed 10 day Intensive Level Training

(*Applicants who have attended the 5 day Foundational Training, or are members of a DBT Team without a comprehensive programme will be considered on a case-by-case basis).
