British Isles DBT Training
Version 2.0
Effective from: 1 September 2026
1. Booking and Contract Formation
Submission of a booking form constitutes an offer to purchase training from British Isles DBT Training (“biDBT”). Upon acceptance of your booking by biDBT, a binding contract is formed, and the delegate fee becomes payable in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
The individual or organisation making the booking is responsible for payment of all applicable fees.
2. Fees and Payment
All invoices must be paid by the due date stated on the invoice.
Any discounts, including Early Bird and Group Discounts, are applied based on the date of booking and remain valid once confirmed.
Where an organisation requires a Purchase Order (PO), a valid PO number must be provided within 14 calendar days of booking and, in all cases, before joining instructions are issued.
It remains the responsibility of the booking organisation to ensure purchase requisitions, approval processes and internal authorisations are completed in sufficient time to meet payment deadlines.
Training materials are typically issued approximately 14 days prior to the event start date. Joining instructions are typically issued approximately 7 days prior to the event start date.
British Isles DBT Training reserves the right to place bookings on hold where a required Purchase Order has not been supplied within 14 calendar days of booking.
British Isles DBT Training reserves the right to withhold joining instructions, course materials, certificates and attendance information until either:
- a valid Purchase Order has been supplied, where required;
- payment has been received; or
- alternative payment arrangements acceptable to British Isles DBT Training have been agreed.
British Isles DBT Training reserves the right to refuse attendance to any delegate where:
- payment remains outstanding; and/or
- a valid Purchase Order has not been supplied where required.
In accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, British Isles DBT Training reserves the right to charge statutory interest, compensation, and reasonable recovery costs on overdue invoices.
3. Cancellation by Delegates
Bookings may be cancelled without charge by providing written notice at least 30 calendar days before the course start date.
Where a booking is made within 30 calendar days of the course start date, no cancellation rights apply and the full course fee remains payable, irrespective of attendance.
Cancellation requests received less than 30 calendar days before the course start date will result in the full course fee remaining payable, regardless of whether the delegate ultimately attends the event.
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to biDBT.
No-Show Attendance
Delegates who fail to attend a booked training event without prior notification will be deemed a no-show.
No refund, credit, transfer or deferral will be available in respect of a no-show booking, and the full course fee will remain payable.
Where applicable, a valid Purchase Order must still be provided, and invoices remain due in accordance with the agreed payment terms.
4. Deferrals and Substitutions
If a delegate is unable to attend a training event after the cancellation deadline has passed, the booking may be deferred or transferred to another individual subject to the conditions below.
Deferrals
Delegates may defer their booking once without charge, provided the applicable notice period is met. The deferred booking must be taken within 12 months of the original course date. Any additional deferrals will incur an administration fee of £40 plus VAT per booking.
Notice periods for deferrals are:
- Workshops and short courses: at least 7 calendar days before the course start date.
- Comprehensive or multi-day training programmes: at least 30 calendar days before the course start date.
Requests received after these deadlines may not be accommodated and the full course fee will remain payable.
Substitutions
Delegates may nominate a substitute attendee at no additional charge, subject to the applicable notice period.
Notice periods for substitutions are:
- Workshops and short courses: at least 7 calendar days before the course start date.
- Comprehensive or multi-day training programmes: at least 30 calendar days before the course start date.
Substitute delegates must meet any published course prerequisites and complete any registration documentation required by biDBT.
5. Course Changes and Cancellation by British Isles DBT Training
biDBT reserves the right to substitute trainers, amend course content, change venues, move a course online, alter timings, postpone or reschedule events where reasonably necessary. Such changes will only be made where operationally required or under exceptional circumstances.
If biDBT cancels a course and is unable to offer an alternative date, delegates will be entitled to a full refund of fees paid in respect of that course.
Where a course is rescheduled, delegates who are unable to attend the new date will be offered a credit equivalent to the value of their booking to use against a future biDBT training event.
biDBT shall not be liable for any travel, accommodation, loss of earnings or other consequential costs incurred by delegates.
6. Online Training
Delegates attending online training are responsible for ensuring they have access to suitable equipment, internet connectivity, and a private environment appropriate for participation.
Joining links, passwords and course access information are provided for the registered attendee only and must not be shared.
Recording, photographing, screen capturing or otherwise reproducing any part of a training session is prohibited unless prior written permission has been obtained from biDBT.
7. Delegate Conduct
biDBT is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for all participants.
British Isles DBT Training reserves the right to remove any delegate from a course whose behaviour is disruptive, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, threatening, inappropriate, or otherwise adversely affects the safety, wellbeing or learning experience of other attendees or our training team.
Where removal occurs due to delegate conduct, no refund or credit will be provided.
8. Intellectual Property
All course materials, presentations, workbooks, handouts, recordings, digital content and associated resources remain the intellectual property of British Isles DBT Training or its licensors.
Materials may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, shared, published, modified or used for commercial purposes without the prior written consent of biDBT.
